The Community Remembrance Project Harris County Georgia Inc (henceforth CRP) has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of the uses of our website. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy and how we treat anonymous and personally identifiable information collected from our visitors and users.
WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS
This privacy policy covers the CRP’s treatment of anonymous and personally identifiable information collected by the CRP through a website owned and operated by the CRP. This privacy policy does not apply to the practices of companies that the CRP does not own or control or of persons that the CRP does not employ or manage, including any third-party content contributors bound by contract and any third-party websites to which the CRP’s website links.
COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
You can visit the website of the CRP without revealing any personal information. However, the CRP needs certain personal information if you wish to make a donation, volunteer, or send us an email via the Contact Form. Where required, this information may include your personal contact information such as your name, company, email address and phone number. The CRP will use this information to reply to your inquiries, to process your credit card or to send you an occasional notice via email. It will not be divulged to any other party, sold, rented, exchanged, traded, given away, or used for any other purposes.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM ONLINE FINANCIAL DONORS
When you make a donation to CRP you will be asked to provide your name, your address and email address, and optionally, your company. This information is stored on our server for accounting purposes. This information is additionally sent to our credit card processor, in order to process your donation. In addition to your personal information, the CRP collects your credit or debit card number, which is used in processing your credit card. Your credit or debit card number is sent directly to our credit card processor, Stripe, and is never stored on our server. Within in the donation system, you will have the opportunity to opt-in to our email list. If you accept, your email address will be placed on a list of recipients. This list will not be divulged to any other party, sold, rented, exchanged, traded, given away, or used for any other purposes.
WHERE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS STORED
Your personal information is stored on our Wix server, except for credit or debit card information, which is stored by our credit card processing company, Stripe. If you opt-in to being placed on our email list, your email address and name will also be stored on our server Wix. We take the security of your information very seriously, and have established means to secure your information that exceeds industry standards. By accessing the services of the CRP and voluntarily providing us with the requested personal information, you consent to the collection and use of the information in accordance with this privacy policy.
COLLECTION AND USE OF NON-PERSONAL, ANONYMOUS INFORMATION
The CRP automatically receives and records non-personal, anonymous information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page you requested. The CRP may use this information to improve our website and to improve customer service. We use cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. In addition, we use a cookie to prevent a visitor from viewing a site exit popup more than once. This information is used only on the CRP website and does not follow you on the internet.
COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW AND LEGAL PROCESSES
The CRP will use your information to comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law or to comply with legal process served on us.
